Nobel Peace Prize Officially Surpassed In Prestige By McDonalds "Employee Of The Week" Award
Ack:
Cindy Sheehan was at BookPeople on Lamar & 6th Street signing autographs for her new book entitled "Peace Mom".
...
"What I really hope to do with it is to inspire people to do what they can to make the world a better place and to let them know that one person really can make a difference," Cindy Sheehan.
...
"What I really hope to do with it is to inspire people to do what they can to make the world a better place and to let them know that one person really can make a difference," Cindy Sheehan.
Sheehan also announced at the signing that she's a finalist for a Nobel Peace Prize.

"I'm just flattered that the people at Hormel would even consider me."
UPDATE: Here's "Mother Sheehan" on HuffPo, giving her opinion of other mothers who've lost sons and daughters in the war - mothers who don't share her opinion on the war.
I have been silent on the Gold Star Moms who still support this man and his war by saying that they deserve the right to their opinions because they are in as much pain as I am. I would challenge them, though, at this point to start thinking for themselves. Iraq DID NOT have WMD; Iraq WAS NOT linked to Al Qaeda and 9/11; Iraq WAS NOT a threat or danger to America. How can these moms who still support George Bush and his insane war in Iraq want more innocent blood shed just because their sons or daughters have been killed? I don't understand it. I don't understand how any mother could want another mother to feel the pain we feel. I am starting to lose a little compassion for them. I know they have been as brainwashed as the rest of America, but they know the pain and heartache and they should not wish it on another. However, I still feel their pain so acutely and pray for these "continue the murder and mayhem" moms to see the light.
Absolute moral authority for me, not thee.

I doubt if even the Nobel Prize group is that low.

Cindy Sheehan is a ghoulish opportunist. It’s not worth wasting any more words on her.

I think she was being kidded by someone about being seriously considered at all. Or else she was just making it up completely, as she does that on most issues.

Any award given to Sheeehag would be equal to the gold stars handed out in kindergarden. Can't have any feeling's hurt so everyone gets a star. It ain't gonna happen, not even the idiots that hand them out are that idiotic.

Sideshow Cindy Sheehan gave up all parental rights to her now deceased son, Casey when he was 7 YEARS OLD!! Fukk her and her imbacilic crusade. Why does anyone outside the MSM still waste bandwidth on this half-wit moonbat?!

Hell, if Sheehan's nomination paperwork can even get past the mailroom guy at Nobel, Inc., then the Peace Prize has sunk below "Employee of the Month".
Not that I have anything against Jessica Simpson...

Holy Horse Face!
Mama Moonbat Media Whore has sunk to a new low.
The depths of her NPD knows no limits.
Since the Carter award in 2002, would you expect much different from them? The NPP has become as meaningless as the Oscars did after Michael Moore-on's award.

Being a "finalist" for the Nobel Peace Prize only means that the "finalist" has been nominated. The prize committee receives nominations throughout the year, and typically announces how many nominations it has received. There is no publicly announced winnowing before the winner is announced, so there is no meaningful list of "finalists" in the sense that the committee has separated serious candidates from silly ones. All Sheehan's "finalist" status means, whether she knows it or not, is that somebody nominated her.
She won't win. The Peace Prize is a pretty serious prize, and generally goes to people who do more than just talk.

Do you have a "point" or are you just taking this opportunity to show how much you "know" about the Nobel Peace Prize "nomination" process?
If you're such an "expert" on the Nobel, how is it you didn't "know" that the winner was announced this morning.?
Or are you "tired of news" as well.
P.S. You can get a pretty good deal on a "sense of humor" at your local clue-mart.

tired:
Uh, if I read the date stamp correctly, John posted this ... and got comments on it ... hours BEFORE the winners (yes, plural, not singular as you wrote) were announced at 11 AM CET (5 AM ET) on the 13th.
This whole linear time thing on Earth is really messing you aliens up, isn't it?

I didn't win either.

Tired of Blogs is correct. Tired of Idiot Commenters appears in need of a serious nap.

An appalling disgrace to women, to Americans, to military families, and to humanity in general. May this awful woman soon return to the anonymity she so richly deserves.

NPP nomination or not... I've got something she can work on: http://www.nearlygood.com/picture/ironmyshirt.html

She's a fascist, a grieving fascist, which makes her all the more dangerous.

She can pat herself on the back for joining the likes of Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini.
