While interviewing one Abdurahmen Jafar of the Muslim Council of Britain about the whole cartoon "dustup", a CNN International anchor goes out on a limb:

Anchor: It seems that has taken on a life of it's own. I mean you see in some Palestinian territories, for instance, in Gaza, where Europeans are being told to stay indoors, that they're at risk. And it's kind of taken on this dimension, that seems, from the outside, violent.

Hey, how about taking it down a notch, lady? I mean, you threaten a few nations with extermination, torch an embassy or two, and the next thing you know some news desk jockey is suggesting that some people (ignorant outsiders though they might be) might get the idea that you're the violent type.

Deathprot

Be sure to watch the video so you can hear Jafar expressing his fear of Europeans, who he says are "Relearning to hate again."

Just remember that any homicides are really extroverted suicides, so these "protestors" are really hurting themselves more than their victims.

And CNN? I hope none of them get splinters in their rumps as they scoot towards those leaves. Maybe some armored-plated skivies could complement their thick skulls.

"And it's kind of taken on this dimension, that seems, from the outside, violent."

And who says that CNN can't be confrontational with Islamic miltants?!! The interviewer is obviously STRONGLY hinting that threats of death and violence over a bunch of cartoons can be misinterpreted, from the OUTSIDE, as violence.

Of course, to CNN -- which is on the INSIDE -- it's a different story.

(I believe the CNN correspondent then gave an off the air briefing on cell-phone precautions and the use of voice-distortion technology.)

"he says are "Relearning to hate again.""

He's forgetting who is teach them.

teaching, I mean.

When you defend yourself, it's hate. When they threaten to conquer you and force you to live in dhimmitude, it's the duty of every Muslim to please Allah. When they behead you, it's justice toward an infidel. If you force them to wear underpants on their heads, it's torture.
Even by todays public school standards, reasoned thinking would lead one to distrust Muslims. More than four years after 9/11 and the Muslims have done nothing to reign in the radical elements of Islam. I conclude we must prepare to kill them all and force their offspring to worship another God. Islam has brought brainwashing to an artform, and we have never discovered a way to reverse the results.

"More than four years after 9/11 and the Muslims have done nothing to reign in the radical elements of Islam."

It should be obvious to even dimwit-o-crats that these "extremists" actually represent the historical mainstream of Islam. I applaud whatever "moderate" Muslims there are who are making genuine efforts to bring their "faith" into the world of civilization, but they are clearly a minute minority who have the weight of 1400 years of abject worship of violence to overcome.

I fear they will fail. In a very bloodly fashion.

These guys really don't represent most Muslims, but then, most Muslims don't really represent Islam. Most central Asia and the Caucasus region is only Muslim because people tellthem that they are, and they accept that. It's kinda sad, really, but they can't do much about it. One of my teachers who's a missionary to those areas even tells me that the people in Azerbaijan love Jesus more than Mohammed.

They say that there's a billion Muslims, but not even half of those are really Muslims, and probably not half of those actually support the crazies. Problem is that the really charismatic ones are the ones with convictions--regardless of what those convictions are--and that's what gets you into positions of power.

So yeah, there's more than you think, but they can't really do much. Too bad that that just reduces our responses. :-/
