CSI: Mayberry

Whatcha got there, Barn?

Appears to be a cow-pie, Andy.

You sure about that?

Can't really be sure unless we take it back to the lab for testing.

Now, Barney, you know the closest lab is way out in Mount Pilot, and I'm not about to walk in there with what might very well be a cow-pie.

Well, then I don't know how we're gonna figure out what this is.

Why don't you just poke it with a stick?

I suppose I could do that.

You go on and get a stick, I'll wait here.

...

...

Got it.

Well, go ahead and poke it.

Yep, it's a cow-pie.

Looks like it.

Yep.

...

...

...

Yyyeaaah (sigh).

...

Guess we should head back to the office.

Yep.
Tune in next week for another exiting episode of 'CSI: Mayberry'.

CBS Executive: The show needs some work. First, the Boss needs to be more of a brooder. That is part of the CSI formula. Second, you need a hot, bouncy science-geek chick. Maybe two. Then, you need a handicapped coroner. Call me once you get the rest of the CSI parts.

And honestly you need a shot of the poop, zooming in until we can see each individual poop molecule. And DNA testing, we need to know what suspect cow pooped the poop.

Was that an official "Dick Tracy" stick they used to poke the cow pie?

Better head over to Sue Bob's and make sure she's OK.

Yep, s'pose we should.

Well, Andy, we don't have to even leave the jail here to check on Sue Bob. We can use this new fangled technology--the telephone. Just have Sarah ring up the sheriff over at Siler City, and we can have him check on Sue Bob. It'll be faster and we can keep an eye on Otis the whole time.

Where's the rock-n-roll soundtrack? If you're going to use the Mayberry theme, you may want to punch it up a bit.

This sounds like an old Cheech & Chong skit about a couple of Russians who happen upon some dog dooty.
"Good thing we didn't step in it."
"Ya, good thing."
"Let's go eat."
"Ya, eat."
